    Olive Oil & Honey

Our family's own extra virgin olive oil and raw sage honey, pressed and gathered by hand in the hills of Brist. Made in small batches, available to order.

The Taste That Brings You Back

The first swim of the morning, before anyone else is awake. A long dinner on the terrace as the light turns soft over the sea. And a taste of our olive oil and honey that brings all of it back the moment you open them again at home.

    Where the taste begins

    Our Olive Oil

    1. Our Trees

      Family groves above Brist.

    2. Hand Harvested

      Picked by hand, at peak.

    3. Cold-Pressed

      Pressed the same day.

    4. Our Cellar

      Rested in cool and dark.

    5. Small Batches

Bottled a little at a time.

Our extra virgin olive oil is pressed from groves our family has tended for generations on the hills of Brist, on Croatia's Makarska Riviera. Hand-harvested and cold-pressed the same day, then left completely unheated, it keeps the bright, grassy and gently peppery character of the Dalmatian coast. A small-batch oil worth taking home.

    Our Honey

Raw, unheated and darker than most: a honeydew honey rather than a light floral one. Our bees range the sage and lavender hills above Brist, and it's the bold wild-sage character that makes it unlike anything on a shop shelf.

    Aroma
Warm herbs, wild sage and dark honeycomb.
    Palate
Deep, full and malty, with a bold sage character.
    Pairs with
A strong cheese, warm bread, tea or yogurt.
    Each harvest
Raw and unheated; one or two small harvests a year, always leaving enough for the bees.

    From Mirko's Hills

For as long as anyone can remember, this family has worked the land here, pressing its own oil from trees that have stood on these hills for generations. The bees came later. Mirko had quietly dreamed of keeping them for years, and after retiring he finally had the time. Today they forage across the hills above Brist, turning wild sage and herbs into honey. It's all made the way the family has always lived: with care, by hand, and in its own time.

Honestly didn't expect to be raving about olive oil, but here we are. We put it on everything that week and bought four bottles to take home.
