Summer by the sea, a few steps from the door

After a last-minute itinerary change, we were lucky to find this amazing apartment for a stopover on our way from Hvar to Dubrovnik. The apartment was immaculately clean, the bed and air conditioning great, and the sea views beautiful. Ena was the perfect host. Before we'd even met, she booked a nail salon appointment for me. During our stay we were treated like good friends, rather than strangers. Brist, on the Makarska Riviera, was a surprise discovery for us: beautiful beaches and crystal clear water (like much of Croatia), but very reasonably priced, with a quiet, relaxed community vibe. I hope one day we can return, and stay much longer!

If you're looking for a secluded slice of paradise on the Adriatic coast, this place Brist is the place to stay. The apartment is clean and a stone's throw from the ocean. There's a beach, restaurants, bakery, bar, gelato, fruit and veg market and beach shops all just a few steps away. Driving 10 mins north you can visit Drevnik and take a boat to Hvar and have fun on their inflatable water park. Plenty of beaches and villages dotted along this stretch of coastline. Highly recommend! Hosts were lovely and always contactable, we even received a bottle of chilled wine on arrival! 100% recommend to everyone! Picturesque location, an Italian atmosphere, clean and tasteful. Easy to reach, and there's a parking space. Incredibly nice, helpful hosts: kind, open and easy to reach. They care about every detail. I'm used to sleeping in hotels, but this was better than a hotel! The apartment is fully equipped, spotless, modern, with a comfortable bed and a big bathroom, nothing was missing. A balcony and terrace with a sea view. Shops and bars nearby. Several beaches right by the apartment. A great place for a summer break. No, no one paid me for this review, it was simply wonderful :-)
